The Department of Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology at UCSC invites applications for an on-going pool of
qualified part-time temporary lecturer(s). Outstanding candidates with experience
to teach in any specialty within toxicology are encouraged to apply. Course
topics include statistics/experimental design, ecotoxicology, and risk assessment,
among others. Teaching assistants may be assigned to assist instructors as
needed, and will be supervised by the instructor.

Lecturer
Salary:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary is
approximately $6,500 per course (prorated for percent of time).
Minimum
Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctoral degree
or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and/or Toxicology
or a related field completed or expected by effective date,
and must present strong evidence of teaching competence or
potential for teaching.
Effective
Dates: As openings occur starting Spring quarter 2001,
contingent upon availability of funding.
